16:40 Catterick

GYTO Notebook Double for Wednesday 24th July

Catterick 4.40 Knights Affair (9/4)

It is hard to knock KNIGHTS AFFAIR here as he hasn’t put a foot wrong all season. He shaped with encouragement on reappearance and then missed just a neck at Doncaster. He backed that up again going down a length at this track to Gibside who is a useful yardstick then improved again to win readily at Musselburgh. He is up 5lb but remains open to further improvement especially over a mile and a half so is the one to beat.

Furzig is a 9yo now but he is still running well enough to have a chance in this as while he only finished sixth at York he was only beaten 2 lengths. Freddy Robinson has won 2 of his last 4 and is another one in with a squeak.

19:50 Leicester

Leicester 7.50 Inherit (9/4)

Kingman filly INHERIT is expected to take a lot of beating here. She has got better with every start and looked to bump into a potentially useful sort in Rainbows Edge at Newmarket last time. She almost certainly has more to come now handicapping and I’ll be surprised if she can’t go one better and open her account against these. The yard haven’t had many runners lately so that is my only concern otherwise I thin she has a massive chance.

Albeseeingyer is a likeable mare and she didn’t finish too far behind Red Pixie at Carlisle so looks the danger. Cypriot Diaspora impressed beating Gogo Yubari at Goodwood and then wasn’t disgraced last time so is another one to note.

18:30 Salisbury

Value Tip for Wednesday 24th July

Salisbury 6.30 Shout (9/2)

Priapos overcame inexperience to make a winning start and he has to be feared but it is never easy giving a penalty away and there looks to be value elsewhere. SHOUT was really green on debut but did well to get as close as he did as he was only beaten less than 3 lengths at the line. He wasn’t given a hard time so it was a promising introduction. With improvement expected this could be a good opportunity for him to open his account. The runner-up Cayman Tai has won since and the form has been boosted a few times which is encouraging.

Redorange shaped well when fifth at Bath on debut and then finished third at Sandown so with more to come is another one that could get competitive. Yakfeek could also be one to keep an eye on but possibly with more time and experience under his belt.
