OCEANIC WONDER arrives here on the back of two encouraging placed efforts and she merits the utmost respect now 1lb lower than on the most recent of those occasions. Tres Chic is only 2lb higher than when winning at Salisbury in June and her subsequent form suggests that she could make the frame, while Rinnovati and First Encounter are others to note.
Prediction : 1st Oceanic Wonder 2nd Tres Chic 3rd Rinnovati

CARIBBEAN WIND has filled second place on both of her previous starts and this appears to be an ideal opportunity for the daughter of Bated Breath to go one better. That said, State Of Madness also hit the crossbar on his racecourse bow and Derek Shaw's gelding should not be underestimated. Shibuya Storm got off the mark at Lingfield 32 days ago and has to be of interest, although a 5lb penalty is a slight concern.
Prediction : 1st Caribbean Wind 2nd State Of Madness 3rd Shibuya Storm

MISS MONTE CARLO failed to fire in a maiden at Southwell when last seen but her two previous seconds suggest that an opening mark of 67 should be workable for Ed Walker's filly. Edna E Mode is another handicap debutant to consider in an open event, while Maritime Lady edges out Dance Time to be the pick of the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Miss Monte Carlo 2nd Edna E Mode 3rd Maritime Lady

Since being turned over at a short price at Newcastle back in March, DUBAWI TIME has been sold out of the Gosdens' yard for 42,000gns and now starts off for William Knight. He has also been gelded and that could help him recapture the form that carried him to an impressive victory at Kempton in February. Thrilling Dream is holding his form quite well and may appreciate the return to 1m4f. Meade Gold is interesting on his handicap bow, but Grey Nyle could do with dropping down the ratings a bit.
Prediction : 1st Dubawi Time 2nd Thrilling Dream 3rd Meade Gold

INHERIT has a lot to live up to as a daughter of Kingman out of Breeders' Cup heroine Queen's Trust. She has shown plenty of ability in maiden/novice company this year, though, and an initial mark of 75 could underestimate her. Looking For Queen is another interesting handicap newcomer to consider and has had wind surgery since making the frame at the Craven meeting. Cypriot Diaspora is a lot more experienced but has progressed well and didn't get a lot of luck at Carlisle.
Prediction : 1st Inherit 2nd Looking For Queen 3rd Cypriot Diaspora

Cheekpieces could help quell Kurimu's tendency to hang and she has only gone up 2lb for her breakthrough success at Doncaster. Even so, she tackles some improving types, not least GULTARI, who ran on nicely into third at Redcar and can take another step forward. Queen Maker cost 240,000gns so has to be considered disappointing so far, but an opening mark of 60 is tempting. Throw High Violet, Grecian God and Sergeant Mayer into the mix, while Mullins Beach's Chepstow run is best forgotten.
Prediction : 1st Gultari 2nd Queen Maker 3rd Kurimu
