GYTO Notebook Double for Sunday 28th July
Uttoxeter 3.25 Secret Trix (11/4)
The tough and likeable SECRET TRIX is expected to be hard to beat at Uttoxeter on Sunday. He showed the benefit of a wind op to get back in the winners enclosure over C&D when last seen and that form has been well advertised by the third Wonderwall since. He is up 5lb but looks to have plenty going for him again and with this track suiting better than Stratford I think he can reverse that form with Porter In The Park and come out on top this time around.
Porter In The Park continues in good form and only went down half a length last time so looks the obvious danger. Galata Bridge was impressive at Perth last time and is another one who could get competitive.
15:42 Pontefract
Pontefract 3.42 Life On The Rocks (5/2)
A small field for this so it could represent a good opportunity for LIFE ON THE ROCKS to get back on track. He has looked progressive this summer completing a hat-trick at Wetherby last month and he hasn’t been disgraced the last twice. He was just a bit too keen over C&D last time so if he settles better here he could have a big chance of coming out on top. There isn’t much pace on so it wouldn’t be a big surprise to see him go to the front and dominate.
Rosenzoo has won 2 of his last 3 and showed a good attitude to prevail last time so looks the danger. Piecederesistance struggled last time but that reappearance second was promising so if bouncing back is another one to note.

Value Tip for Sunday 28th July
Pontefract 2.42 Jewel Maker (5/1)
Young Fire impressed winning at Haydock 9 days ago but he was entitled to go and do that and I wouldn’t want to take a short price about him backing that up. I’m keen on JEWEL MAKER and he definitely looks the value at 5/1. He himself was back to winning ways over C&D when last seen and I thought he impressed with how strongly he hit the line. He has gone up just 4lb and a repeat of that may well see him follow up against these.
It is not just a two horse race though as Cloudy Skye is still unexposed and while she needs to leave that York run behind she could still do better so she is feared as well. Zous Juice makes his handicap debut so is worth a market check.
