GYTO Notebook Double for Monday 29th July

Southwell 6.15 Heat Of Passion (7/4)

Dubawi filly HEAT OF PASSION looks a good bet to make a winning handicap debut at Southwell on Monday. She shaped with plenty of promise when last seen at the start of the year going down just over a length into third. She should relish going up in trip now and with the yard going great guns it is no surprise to see her a warm order to get off the mark now. An opening mark of 69 doesn’t look too tough to negotiate and she is the most likely winner.

Rogue King scored over a mile and a half here last month and then ran well switched to hurdles at Stratford. He is up 6lb but is in good form and does look the danger. Capla Mojo went close when last seen and is another one in with a squeak.

20:30 Wolverhampton

Wolverhampton 8.30 Aidan Andabettin (5/4)

Blue Point colt AIDAN ANDABETTIN was backed like defeat was out the question over C&D last week and he duly landed the gamble impressively going clear 3 and a half lengths at the line. He did get a lovely run up the rail but always looked to be moving strongly and is clearly a fair bit ahead of his mark. It is no surprise to see him turned out quickly under a penalty and I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t manage to follow up against these as he can still improve further too.

Angle Land is a likeable mare and she found herself back in the winners enclosure at Yarmouth last month. She wasn’t disgraced last time and if back to her best could be the danger. Aces Wild is another one capable at this level but he was disappointing at Ffos Las last time.

20:40 Windsor

Value Tip for Monday 29th July

Windsor 8.40 Patronage (4/1)

I have kept a close eye on PATRONAGE since that Nottingham win and he hasn’t been running badly. The handicapper has dropped him 2lb since that Carlisle third and back up to a mile and a quarter in what looks an easier race I can see him being the one to beat again. He is still fairly unexposed over this trip so could even improve again and if he does then he should have the beating of this field as it lacks strength in depth.

Rich Harry was a good second at Ayr last time but he is still a maiden and has become expensive to follow. One Cool Dreamer is still lightly raced after just 6 starts and down another 2lb could be the one that emerges as the danger. Forest Hills blew out at Newbury but is still another one that could get competitive in this.
