They had a couple of options for ALIGN THE STARS off the back of that Haydock win but have decided to come here. He impressed opening his account at Thirsk and then improved again for the step up to this trip to follow up last month. I was impressed with that win and despite a 7lb rise he is a horse I want to keep firmly on side over staying trips. While that race hasn’t produced any winners yet a few have come out and run well so the form does have substance too.
In terms of a danger Fairbanks was back on the up winning at Newmarket last month having been well backed. He is 6lb higher but also looks to be going the right way over this trip and should emerge as the biggest threat. True Legend is also respected but becoming expensive to follow.

William Haggas looks to have found a good opportunity for WALEEFY to get himself back in the winners enclosure. He improved on his reappearance run to make a winning handicap debut at Newmarket back in June. He didn’t do a great deal wrong in defeat when second at Newmarket last month. Buick probably just gave him a bit too much to do and the winner Dashing Dick just had too much speed for him making virtually all. Back up to 7f looks a good move and given he is the most unexposed horse in the field I think he’ll prove too good.
Burdett got his head back in front at York 3 starts back and then bounced back from a poor run at Thirsk to go close at Ascot last time. He could have more to offer so looks the danger. Smart Vision prevailed narrowly at Doncaster and is another one who could get competitive but this is tougher again.
