An entry in the Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes later in the season suggests big things are expected of Archie Watson's colt and he may prove the one to side with. Angel Hunter drops down in trip with a shout having faced a stiff task over 7f at Ascot, while Bowen Island showed ability when beaten only a neck at Newcastle and is another to consider. Leonardo Dax placed at Windsor on his introduction, while Samujana is a newcomer to note.

American Affair is a sprinter on the rise and may have enough in his locker to defy an 8lb rise for June's Thirsk triumph, but it might pay to side with JER BATT. Emperor Spirit hit the woodwork in a similarly warm Ascot handicap and he merits respect, as does top-weight Squealer, who bids to put consecutive narrow defeats behind him.
