His second in a Clonmel maiden came on testing ground. Nitty Gritty shaped quite well when fifth on hurdles debut at Tipperary and may improve for the fitting of headgear.

A bumper winner on soft ground, CAMAN EILEEN was running for the first time in over nine months when finishing second on hurdling debut over course and distance in early July. The daughter of Gutaifan had Getawiggleon well behind her in fourth and can go one better in the hands of Paul Townend. Hashtag Pretender has been placed on his last four starts over hurdles including when beaten at odds-on in this race last year. He hasn't been seen since chasing home a smart horse at Navan last September and wouldn't want the ground too testing. Amanha, hooded for hurdles debut, was placed in five of her seven bumpers and has plenty of form on easy ground.

A half-brother to smart jumper Zanahiyr, ZARIYGANN is interesting on hurdling debut with Jack Kennedy in the plate. The son of Sea The Moon was third in a decent maiden at Sligo in May and ran creditably on soft ground a couple of times last year. Rapparee Champ was a maiden winner over 1m4f for Joseph O'Brien before being bought for 50,000gns in the autumn sales. Reappearing after 10 months off, he's another hurdling debutant to note and market confidence would be significant. Stablemates Garnacho and San Franco have both shown ability in bumpers and the latter is a half-brother to a Grade 3 winner over hurdles, while Pearl Of Grange can build on his respectable hurdling debut at this venue last month.

Darragh O'Keeffe gets a good tune out of MENINDEE and guided her to three victories last year including a long-distance hurdle at Sligo and a handicap chase on soft ground at this venue. David Christie's mare made a promising return to action after eight months off when second over an inadequate trip at Wexford and will be more at home back on a right-handed circuit. Hunting Brook won twice within a week in November and was in good form when last seen in May when his two runner-up finishes included a handicap hurdle over this trip at Tipperary. Housemartin returned to form at Sligo last month and this shorter trip may suit better while Hypersonic Missile has been consistent but wouldn't want the ground too testing.

PRESENTING LAD wouldn't have been the highest rated of this lot over hurdles, but his previous chasing experience may see him home in front. With the benefit of six starts over the larger obstacles to call upon, the Mark McNiff-trained gelding can take some of his rivals out of their comfort zones. Placed three times in chases, the eight-year-old has attained a handicap rating of 110. Point-to-point winner If You Let Me has to be a real threat if taking to regulation fences on his chasing debut. The Gavin Cromwell-trained five-year-old has more scope for improvement than any of his opponents. Smart hurdler San Salvador would be a contender if fit enough for this assignment on his first start in 439 days. The Joseph O'Brien-trained gelding shaped well on his chasing debut when last seen.

Although now 12lb higher than when winning easily at Killarney last month, KILASHEE may be able to defy the handicapper once again. As an in-form mare who has won her last three starts, the John Ryan-trained nine-year-old should once more make a bold bid from the front. A three-time winner over hurdles, the Martin Brassil-trained Conron is very unexposed in this discipline after just the three starts. An opening mark of 102 could be lenient given that the 10-year-old showed definite promise when keeping on nicely for fourth at Tipperary on his most recent outing. Kilbeggan runner-up Gaelic Des Chastys remains open to further improvement for current connections. A winner on his stable debut in June, the gelding is making just his third start for Eric McNamara.

Having bumped into a well-handicapped rival when runner-up at Killarney last time, ELECTRIC DREAMER can go one better for trainer Liam Burke. The mare, who had fallen at Limerick on her previous start, kept on well to take minor honours. Granted a clear round, the former point-to-point winner should be very competitive under her young conditional jockey. Tuff Days looked to be in with every chance when departing two out at Wexford on his penultimate start. Having had a confidence booster back over flights at that same track last time, he should be spot-on for this race. Le Grand Vert is an interesting runner on his Irish debut, although the former English-trained gelding has only the one career win to his name to date.

The Willie Mullins-trained KEEP UP is an interesting contender on her racecourse debut. A daughter of a mare who finished runner-up to a future Champion Hurdle winner on her only appearance, she is by a sire whose progeny her trainer has done well with. Having bypassed Galway last week, this could be a nice opportunity to get her career off to a winning start. Eagle's Quest makes a quick reappearance having run over hurdles on the opening evening of the Festival at Ballybrit. Fourth in two UK bumpers prior to that, the gelding sets the standard but is vulnerable to a more lightly-raced sort. Cork third Lord Ffrench has to be involved, given that he showed definite potential on his initial outing.
