On these revised terms, BAYOU BELLE has strong claims of reversing recent C&D form with Onebrightbluerose. On that occasion, the Jarlath Fahey-trained mare kept on strongly from the last to get within a length and three-quarters of the latter. With that race being her first start since January, the five-year-old should have some improvement to come. Onebrightbluerose was third here on Wednesday but of taking up this engagement, the Patrick Cronin-trained mare will be a serious threat. Shana Cloon has been absent since falling here in April but had been in decent form prior to that blip. If fit enough on her return the Gavin Cromwell-trained five-year-old is another with a solid chance in a competitive affair.

Having run with credit in stronger races over the winter, BELGOPRINCE is undoubtedly a well handicapped horse over hurdles. Second at Sligo on his most recent jumps outing, the seven-year-old subsequently ran well in a higher grade on the Flat. It would be disappointing for connections if the gelding can't exploit a mark of 100. Tingarran Express has to be of interest given that the mare seldom runs a bad race at this track. A winner at Clonmel in April, she has reached the frame on each of her five outings since then. With the Bill Durkan yard amongst the winners of late, top-weight Wandering Rocks could enter calculations. Oakley Brown is good value for his 5lb claim in races of this nature.

The Terence O'Brien-trained KILMURRY JJ should prove difficult to beat on his return to hurdling. Twice a winner over fences since joining O'Brien last August, the gelding can now race off a 15lb lower mark in this discipline. Having finished runner-up on his two most recent outings over flights, the son of Imperial Monarch should have no issues switching back to the smaller obstacles. Hill Rocket finished a remote fourth on her latest start at this track towards the end of last month. However, having stayed on from rear on that occasion, it is interesting that connections have opted to step her up a mile here. An early casualty at Sligo last time, the lightly-raced Lispopple is one that could be capable of better.

TROPICAL SPEED shaped well enough when staying on late to finish fourth at Sligo last time to suggest he can get involved now he is upped in trip. A lightly-raced gelding having just his seventh career start, the Eoin Doyle-trained five-year-old will get few better opportunities to shed his maiden tag. Cruisin Susan finished runner-up last time but, in truth, there was only ever going to be one winner. A maiden hurdle winner at Tramore almost two years ago, she does at least have previous winning form to her name. The locally-trained Heart Of Rome needs to step up on what he has shown to date but Paul Nolan's gelding might find some improvement in first-time blinkers.

BURRU attracted support on his first handicap start over this trip at Bellewstown last month when placed behind Inforapenny, with Sharetheknowledge just over two lengths behind in fourth. The selection has scope for further improvement, but the same comment also applies to Sharetheknowledge with Sam Ewing an eye-catching booking. Sammy Smart enters calculations on his second to Grace Faraday at Limerick last time, while Noble Hilltop won over this trip at Punchestown and backed that up with another solid effort at Cork. Moyvilla Lass appreciated the step back to this distance when opening her account at Killarney last month.

MEITHEAL hails from a family that connections have enjoyed plenty of success with in the past and she was just denied by Field A Thistles on debut here over 2m4f last month, with Ma Bess keeping on about two lengths back in third. The selection looks sure to benefit from that experience and hopefully will not be inconvenienced by the step back in trip. Point-to-point winner Ma Bess has been placed a number of times in bumpers and certainly won't lack for stamina. Hey Sunshine is an obvious threat having been denied close home by Versace Twentyone at Roscommon when the pair drew clear of the remainder, while The Reel Martello is one to note in the market.
