The lightly raced LAKE TEO has shaped with plenty of promise in 4 starts to date and she catches the eye going handicapping now. An opening mark of 74 is certainly no given but she is obviously open to further improvement and might surprise a few here. I’m hoping they bounce her out and try and make all as I think that would be the best way to make use of her long stride. She looks overpriced in the market.
Trainer Charlie Hills has had five winning handicap debutants and nine placed from 33 runners this year. He is in profit with both so 8/1 seems generous and 6/4 to hit the frame a great bet (has a 27% place strike rate with handicap debutants this year).
