POWER OF TWINS was a controversial loser on her latest outing as she seemed to have the race sewn up until her rider eased off shortly before the winning line. Richard Hannon's juvenile takes a step up in trip, which could eke out further improvement and she can defy an opening mark of 67. Al Waseela has failed to fire in three starts to date, but she sports first-time cheekpieces and could prove a different proposition on her nursery bow. Washington Dancer completes the shortlist.
Prediction : 1st Power Of Twins 2nd Al Waseela 3rd Washington Dancer

A chance can be taken on newcomer NIGHTWALKER, who is a well-bred son of Frankel and is related to plenty of Group winners. Sir Michael Stoute's yard sent out an impressive juvenile winner at Yarmouth on Thursday and it would be no surprise to see this colt also make an impression. 500,000gns purchase Matauri Bay has lots to like in his pedigree and should be monitored closely in the market on his debut, along with Spectacular View.
Prediction : 1st Nightwalker 2nd Matauri Bay 3rd Spectacular View

LIHOU outran big odds when making the frame in a class 4 event at Haydock last week and he goes off an unchanged mark. David Evans' eight-year-old looks to have lots in his favour and he makes plenty of appeal to get his head back in front. High Violet and Sovereign Slipper both bring recent winning form to the table, but preference of the pair is for the former after her smooth C&D victory last month. Noisy Music is another who could go well in an open event.
Prediction : 1st Lihou 2nd High Violet 3rd Noisy Music

Having lacked fluency in his jumping when finishing in fourth at Uttoxeter last month, LASER FOCUS makes plenty of appeal reverting to the level. James Owen's gelding was previously in good heart on the Flat and a reproduction of his third-placed Newbury effort in June may prove sufficient. Bobacious arrives on the back of a creditable third over 1m2f at Chepstow and he's a possible improver over this trip, while fellow in-form rivals Livinthelife and Dubawi Time are also noted.
Prediction : 1st Laser Focus 2nd Bobacious 3rd Livinthelife

Although thwarted in her bid to land a double when third at Wolverhampton last time out, LADY WINGALONG shouldn't be judged too harshly having clipped heels early on. The five-year-old had previously looked one to follow judged on her Salisbury triumph and she appears to have been found a suitable opportunity to regain the winning thread. The biggest threat may emerge from recent Yarmouth second Available Angel, ahead of the class-dropping Dion Baker.
Prediction : 1st Lady Wingalong 2nd Available Angel 3rd Dion Baker

First Encounter must enter calculations on the back of a track victory over a mile 18 days ago, but he's yet to convince with his stamina over 1m2f. Moreover, a 1lb rise in the ratings will only make a follow-up bid more difficult for John Gallagher's charge. With that in mind, preference is for CITY ESCAPE, who arrives on the back of a solid third over this distance at Ffos Las and the seven-year-old makes plenty of appeal off an unchanged mark. Khangai boasts a similar profile and is a viable alternative.
Prediction : 1st City Escape 2nd First Encounter 3rd Khangai
