Nottingham 4.30 Miss Stormy Night (11/4)

When a filly is in form they are often worth keeping on side and I think that could be the case with the thriving MISS STORMY NIGHT for Clive Cox. She had no problem completing the hat-trick at Lingfield last month and won that with seemingly still plenty to spare.

She is up another 6lb and is in a better grade of race but she is still lightly raced and could still have plenty more to offer. She has a useful turn of foot and that should count for plenty again.

Tourist bolted up at Doncaster last month and then was denied just a short head in his bid to follow up last time. His form looks solid so despite a 2lb rise looks the danger. Duran also won last time out getting his head in front at York and is another to note.

Lingfield 4.45 Newfangled (2/1)

After plenty of decent runs in defeat it was good to see NEWFANGLED open his account at Wolverhampton last time. This son of New Bay seemed to enjoy getting the lead and he kept finding and going up through the gears to ultimately win well by half a length. 

He has only been put up 2lb and now upped to a mile and a quarter should prove hard to beat as he bids to follow up. The yard could be in better form but other than that he has plenty going for him.

Chico Dulce got off the mark on penultimate start and then didn’t run badly when fifth at Kempton. He still looks in form and could be the danger. Khangai has come back down the weights and is another one in with a squeak but does need more on that last run.
