Racing Lee has five horse racing tips for today's action.
14:25 Ayr
In what looks effectively a match, DUTY FIRST is taken to come out on top.
The field of five could all have potential or improve, but DUTY FIRST showed promise on her debut behind a very smart horse, who has subsequently bolted up.
The selection is entered in the Group One Moyglare at the Curragh, and cost a fair sum, so she can start to repay that here and put her experience to good use.
15:35 Ayr
A course-and-distance winner having taken this race last year, RETIREMENT BECKONS is well-handicapped to win this again.
Things look bad on the numbers front this season, but slow starts have been the main issue.
He’s now dropped to his last winner mark, and his lowest turf mark for a long time, so with excuses and reasons to forgive he might be able to bounce back, on a course he goes well at.
16:40 Ayr
FAYLAQ is not one to trust with maximum faith for a win point of view, for all that he does run consistently well.
He was runner up yet again nine days ago off this mark of 80.
His last win was in a London Series race off 95, and has been competing in good races since switched to Jim Goldie.
His team has plenty of winners here, and if things pan out his way, then he does have the ability to win.
19:40 Windsor
The one in-form horse in this race is KINETIC, who ran a solid race four days ago on her stable debut.
She has competed off higher marks in the past, and keeps the same mark as her length defeat last time out.
She’s a worthy bet, in a race that won’t take much winning.
20:10 Windsor
BONAVENTURE was denied a clear run, and only went down by a neck last time out over course-and-distance, and has a solid chance to go one place better today.
He’s shown glimmers of promise in ten runs to date, but still remains a maiden.
He continued to drop in the handicap as a consequence before that latest course run, and has only been nudged up a pound from that effort back to a mark of 60, meaning he should be going close in this.
