It could pay to stick with GOLDEN PARADISE, who hasn't raced since making a winning start at Windsor back in April, but scored with plenty in hand and may prove good enough to defy a penalty. Miss Nightfall also debuted at Windsor and would have finished closer than third with a clear run, while Facoulty showed improvement at Yarmouth and further progress looks likely. Empowered Queen and Glitterinthesky are both newcomers worthy of a second glance.

It paid to be up with the pace for most of Glorious Goodwood week, so WISPER's recent fifth at the Sussex venue was an eye-catching one. Anchored in rear before staying on despite meeting all sorts of trouble, Marcus Tregoning's mare drops in class and may have too much for these if able to build on that performance. Circe looks set to relish an extra furlong having kept on for fourth over 1m a fortnight ago, while Star Jasmine is another to note.
