PROSPERITAS did well despite showing plenty of signs of greenness to hit the frame on his debut over 6f at Thirsk last month and he would have learnt a great deal from that experience. The son of No Nay Never may only need to find normal improvement in order to shed his maiden tag at the second time of asking. Lord Roxby was beaten five lengths into second on his racecourse debut at Newcastle earlier in the month and he is an interesting contender on his first start on turf, while Beerwah is another to note.
Prediction : 1st Prosperitas 2nd Lord Roxby 3rd Beerwah

STANHOPE GARDENS shaped with plenty of promise when he finished third at Sandown last month and he should have plenty more to offer on only his second start. Ralph Beckett's juvenile looks to have been found a good opportunity and he looks the one to beat. Amor Cordis took a step forward from his debut when third at Chester last time and he could get into contention, while Far Ahead is another to consider after finishing fourth on his introduction at York.
Prediction : 1st Stanhope Gardens 2nd Amor Cordis 3rd Far Ahead

Alice's Impact backed up her C&D victory two starts ago with a solid runner-up effort in this grade at Carlisle last time and she should remain competitive off the same rating. However, the vote goes to KING SHARJA, who capitalised on a career-low mark over track and trip last month and he may kick on now that he has got his head in front. Rum Runner is another to keep an eye on.
Prediction : 1st King Sharja 2nd Alices Impact 3rd Rum Runner

With a lack of recent winning form in this field, it may pay to side with Ann Duffield's CLOTHERHOLME. He was sent off favourite over C&D last month and only lost by a nose after being caught on the line, despite being carried left by a rival a furlong out and being hampered again late on. He could well gain compensation off just 1lb higher in the handicap, with Queens Road Revue and Twilight Jazz potential dangers.
Prediction : 1st Clotherholme 2nd Twilight Jazz 3rd Queens Road Revue

The Johnston yard have won two of the four runnings of this race to date, suggesting a big run from Urban Sprawl. However, he hasn't been at his best so far this season and may have to give way to RESPECTFUL. Twice a winner last year, he returns from wind surgery here for his second start since being gelded and could be sitting pretty off bottom-weight. Mudamer is the only C&D winner in the field and he could be the one to chase them home.
Prediction : 1st Respectful 2nd Urban Sprawl 3rd Mudamer

The vote goes to PALAZZO PERSICO, who appeared to relish the return to 10 furlongs when filling the runner-up spot at Nottingham recently. Ed Dunlop's charge was nudged up 2lb in the ratings for that display but, with further scope for improvement at this trip, he is taken to go one better. Sisterandbrother has proven largely consistent this campaign and is unlikely to be far away, although the unexposed Risen Again should benefit from a hike in distance and he could be the main threat.
Prediction : 1st Palazzo Persico 2nd Risen Again 3rd Sisterandbrother

Previous C&D winner TAYGAR was able to exploit a further drop in the handicap when winning at Ayr last month and given that she remains well treated from a 6lb raised mark, the Churchill filly could go in again. There will be challengers aplenty, however, and perhaps the main threat will come from Keldeo, who looks set to benefit from a return to the minimum trip. Silky Robin posted an improved performance at Doncaster last time and is of definite interest eased 2lb in the ratings, while Sergeant Mayer is also noted.
Prediction : 1st Taygar 2nd Keldeo 3rd Silky Robin
