DEAR CAT showed improvement from first to second start when narrowly denied at Newbury in June over 6f and the the manner of that performance gave strong indications that she would relish going up in trip. The daughter of Churchill gets that opportunity on this occasion and she is preferred to Lady Chartwell, who has strong claims on her debut effort at Carlisle. Well-bred newcomer Private Island could be the pick of the newcomers for a stable in excellent form of late.
Prediction : 1st Dear Cat 2nd Lady Chartwell 3rd Private Island

The booking of Ryan Moore aboard newcomer BAMBURGH catches the eye and Charlie Johnston's colt has the pedigree to strike first time out, being a full-brother to 1000 Guineas winner Mother Earth. Triumph Of Peace, who showed marginal improvement from first to second start when third at Lingfield last month, and debutant Twisting Physics both command a decent amount of respect, while Upscale cannot be ruled out either.
Prediction : 1st Bamburgh 2nd Triumph Of Peace 3rd Twisting Physics

Runner-up to a Godolphin-owned filly that has scored impressively since, FLIGHT looks just the type to improve for going up to a mile as a daughter of Siyouni. Ollie Sangster's improving filly can take this valuable novice at the main expense of Irish raider Butterfly Wings, a well-bred daughter of Justify who showed promise late in the day when keeping on for fourth at Leopardstown last month. A half-sister to the stable's talented Macduff, Participle may need further in time but must enter the shake-up on debut.
Prediction : 1st Flight 2nd Butterfly Wings 3rd Participle

MY AMBITION regained the winning thread when scoring a shade cosily at Bath. He recorded a double last summer, so looks quite capable of defying a 4lb rise and going in again. Happy Chandler finished third of only four runners at Windsor, but has more scope for improvement than Lingfield third Roscioli, while Persian Phoenix reverts to this shorter distance still looking for a first win in a handicap.
Prediction : 1st My Ambition 2nd Happy Chandler 3rd Persian Phoenix

LOUGHVILLE is a progressive filly and finished a creditable third at Ascot last time. The four-year-old looks up to scoring off her current mark on that evidence and makes more appeal than Allonsy. The latter bids for a four-timer raised a further 6lb and upped in class, but Alhattan went close in this grade at Newmarket and she merits serious consideration on that form. Let Life Happen will appreciate this return to faster going and Ryan Moore takes over the reins, while Beatrice Shilling is a handicap debutant to note.
Prediction : 1st Loughville 2nd Alhattan 3rd Allonsy

TARAMASALATA has improved with every start and further progress looks a distinct possibility now handicapping. The Too Darn Hot filly finished third in a decent Class 2 novice at Newbury and that reads well in the context of this race. Galaxy Princess had looked on the upgrade before failing to stay the 1m4f at Ascot and is not easily dismissed returning to her winning distance in first-time blinkers, while Fox Legacy also reverts to 1m2f with a shout and is preferred to Secret World.
Prediction : 1st Taramasalata 2nd Galaxy Princess 3rd Fox Legacy
