CLIFFTOP wouldn't be winning out of turn having filled the runner-up berth over fences at Clonmel and Wexford. Kieren Buckley was on board both times and he retains the ride. Moon Rise Beauty will be fitter after her comeback run over hurdles at Galway. She dictated for a long way before being headed entering the straight and weakened on the run-in. She now reverts to fences for Willie Mullins. Philip Dempsey's Killinure Lass was fourth on her chasing bow at Tipperary and could improve upon that effort.

IN THE TRENCHES is building up plenty of hurdling experience and it could see him across the line first. A trio of runner-up finishes and a third place at Wexford in his last four starts sets a fair standard for the others to aim at. There was a lot to like about Hasten Slowly's second place in Wexford as she was only collared in the closing stages. Dumb Love was a place behind her in third, so has another shot at prize money. Peter Fahey's Our Haybob is a newcomer worth a market check. She is related to a prolific winner and Sam Ewing has been booked.

DARK NOTE has contested very competitive handicaps at the festivals in Punchestown and Galway and, although unplaced in both, didn't run badly at all and has an each-way chance. Rauzan is going from strength to strength in his bid for a four-timer. This is his toughest task, but he has increased his winning margin with each run. Miss Fourie ran a cracker in second at 20/1 in a mares' handicap hurdle at Galway, so is a player here. Red Glory, who took the honours at Killarney, is another on the upgrade, while Granpa Ger receives lumps of weight from his rivals and could show up well.

JUMPING SUSIE was dominant off the front in Kilbeggan and also delivered over a similar trip at this venue in May, so is a leading light in a competitive contest. Lightkeeper tasted success for the first time in Galway with a stout staying performance and has to rate a danger with his confidence boosted. Rosalys is lightly raced, but has been placed in her last couple of mares' maiden hurdles. She is in good hands and a victory may not be far away. Dairy Force and Miners Bridge were last seen winning maiden hurdles at Kilbeggan and Killarney respectively. They add more spice to the mix.

SCOTTISH DANCER stuck to his task to strike in Downpatrick and there could be more to come from him. He clearly appreciates better ground. Plenty of challengers are lining up against him, though. Cruisin Susan runs under the mandatory 7lb penalty after a clear-cut success in Wexford last Friday. If in the same mood, she would have to be feared. Mrs Biddle wasn't far off Scottish Dancer in second at Downpatrick, which gives her a chance. Third reserve Walkonthebriteside is another recent Wexford winner who could be a factor if getting a run.

WINTER FOG, who took fourth in the Galway Hurdle in Ballybrit, ought to have the speed for this assignment on the Flat. On his penultimate start, he won a Grade 3 hurdle in Tipperary by 16 lengths, which shows the ability he has. Familiar Dreams was a winning machine in bumpers for her previous connections and was an expensive acquisition for her current owner. She is more than able to serve it up to Winter Fog over this trip. Somptueux was a fair third in a qualified riders' maiden at Leopardstown, while Happy Jacky could land a cheque.
