Walk In The Park mare THE GREAT UNKNOWN has acquitted herself well in some good maiden hurdles over the winter and it would be no surprise if an opening mark of 104 now sent handicapping proves to be lenient. She should keep improving as her stamina is drawn out further so the step up beyond 2 and a half miles looks ideal.
Trainer Henry de Bromhead has had a good year with horses on handicap debut operating with a 28% strike rate from a place perspective so the 10/11 with 4 places on offer looks an outstanding bet. I do think this mare has been put in the right race to win too so I’ve also backed the 7/2 outright and it would be no surprise to see her well backed.
