CALYXOH has been set some stiff assignments, but didn't disgrace himself in the Windsor Castle and the Rose Bowl Stakes. His Royal Ascot performance, in particular, was commendable and he can boost his confidence with a breakthrough triumph before ascending the class ladder again. Cairdeas left an ordinary debut well behind when making the frame behind a couple of promising colts at Salisbury. He is the logical threat, unless any of the newcomers are useful, with Reporter arguably of most interest.
Prediction : 1st Calyxoh 2nd Cairdeas 3rd Reporter

Scandinavia is a fascinating raider from Ballydoyle and was just behind a stablemate who has won subsequently when third on his Leopardstown introduction. VECU also started off with plenty of encouragement, but there was perhaps a bit more to take from his narrow Sandown defeat because he didn't get the best of runs and should relish the rise from 7f. Charlie Appleby saddles two newcomers and Arabian Poet is definitely the most interesting, with the son of Dubawi a half-brother to Japan and Mogul. With that in mind, it is no surprise he cost a cool one million guineas as a yearling.
Prediction : 1st Vecu 2nd Scandinavia 3rd Arabian Poet

NEW KINGS ROAD may have been allowed to dictate terms to suit himself at Windsor, but he still knuckled down well to prevail by a neck. The runner-up has since franked the form by going one better and Richard Hannon's gelding can follow suit off just a 2lb higher mark, with Joe Leavy claiming that back and more. Hannon is also represented by Sheila's Paradise, for whom a first success should be just around the corner. Arika made a pleasing return on the Lingfield Polytrack, and Hey Lyla isn't out of it either.
Prediction : 1st New Kings Road 2nd Sheilas Paradise 3rd Arika

Waiting All Night is officially 2lb well-in having chased home an unexposed rival over 7f here last Saturday and he's of definite interest upped to the mile, but preference is for CLASSIC. Richard Hannon's colt has been a shade unfortunate this season, especially when meeting all sorts of trouble in the Golden Mile at Goodwood a fortnight ago. This should pan out more favourably and a 1lb ease in the ratings can further aid his cause. Darkness is also noted.
Prediction : 1st Classic 2nd Waiting All Night 3rd Darkness

ORGANIC has few miles on the clock and she made it three wins from her last four starts when on target over an extended mile at Beverley last month. The daughter of Land Force will appreciate a return to 10 furlongs and further success is very much on the cards, while the booking of William Buick is noteworthy. Reyaadah Star bumped into an improver over C&D recently and she is arguably the biggest threat, though the consistent Silver Gunn won't be far away.
Prediction : 1st Organic 2nd Reyaadah Star 3rd Silver Gunn

SPRING BLOOM was able to take advantage of a sliding handicap mark when landing a class 4 contest over track and trip last Friday. He must shoulder a 4lb penalty, but that shouldn't be a barrier to success and the seven-year-old is fancied to carry top-weight to victory. Royal Musketeer posted a creditable third over 7f at Doncaster latest and a drop in trip could suit him, while others to note include Asinara and Court Drive.
Prediction : 1st Spring Bloom 2nd Royal Musketeer 3rd Asinara
