He can add to the comfortable success posted a Lingfield on his penultimate start from just a 4lb higher mark, having subsequently run well at Goodwood.

Lethal Levi made all to win over 6f here in May and, equally adept over this trip, another bold bid is likely from the Karl Burke-trained gelding. A 6lb higher mark looks fair and another big run can be expected. Streets Of Gold, United Approach and Starlore are others with live chances in a competitive race.

Four-year-olds have a good record here suggesting Lennox Stakes fourth English Oak can go well and add to his 2024 winnings, while Folgaria has been highly tried of late and may appreciate this drop in class.

Newcastle third Dandy Arabian seems to be improving and could be the best of those with racecourse experience, though he might have to give way to some well bred newcomers. AFTERMATH heads that list as a son of Justify out of a Galileo mare and with William Buick riding for Aidan O'Brien along with a long list of top-class entries, he may be the one to be on. Kingman colt Cosmic Year is another to consider.

HUTCHENCE has been a work in progress for his in-form connections this season, but he looked much closer to the finished article when scoring comfortably at Salisbury last month. An 8lb rise for that success looks manageable and he can see off the likes of Bas Bleu and Mafnood, who drops in class after a highly creditable effort at Goodwood last time out. At Vimeiro and Tatateo are capable of being in the shake-up as well.
