Unexposed Camelot colt LEGEND OF KINGS really catches the eye here. He didn’t show a great deal on debut but given he went off 25/1 that was to be expected. He was given time after that and reappeared with a promising effort to finish third at Redcar despite again going off a big price. That was a creditable run again at this track last month and the form has been boosted since too with the fourth Northern Choice winning next time out.
Trainer James Ferguson has had a good year with handicap debutants with 7 winners and 13 placed efforts from 32 runs. An opening mark of 77 could easily prove lenient and I think he could take a bit of beating so no surprise to see the 9/2 well backed come post time.
