15:15 Catterick

This looks a competitive 0-65 handicap but preference goes to ONE OF OUR OWN (best priced at 7/2) who bids to make it 3/3 over this course and distance this season. The Rebecca Menzies trained four-year-old won over here in July off a mark of 55 in first time cheekpieces before finishing a close 4th beaten only 1 ¾ lengths under a 5lb penalty on her next start at Leicester. 

One Of Our Own won in good style back over this course and distance last time off a mark of 58 by 1 ¾ lengths and is deserving of a 5lb rise to a mark of 63. Kaiya Fraser, who claims a handy 5lbs, is once again on board and she should prove hard to beat at this track. 

16:15 Catterick

Macanudo is respected following a close 2nd at Lingfield last week but GLORY FIGHTER (best priced at 5/2) is expected to follow up his recent success at Musselburgh. The Paul Midgley trained eight-year-old has a good record at Catterick with form figures of 326162 with his victory coming here off a mark of 72 by 2 ¼ lengths last season. 

Glory Fighter had dropped down to a mark of 67 when victorious at Musselburgh earlier this month and he is deserving of a 4lb rise for that success. Back at Catterick with Paul Mulrennan on board, he should prove hard to beat in this weak contest off top weight. 

16:45 Catterick

The John & Sean Quinn trained SIR GARFIELD (best priced at 9/2) has been running consistently well in handicaps since the application of blinkers and he can hopefully gain a well-deserved success in this race.

The three-year-old has form figures of 4122 since the application of headgear with his only career victory coming over this course and distance in July off a mark of 58. Since then he has finished runner-up at Redcar and Ayr twice off marks of 63 and 64 twice and the handicapper has only nudged him up 1lb to a mark of 65.

With Sir Garfield being beaten ½ length twice and by a head there is a slight question mark about his attitude in a finish but this return to Catterick should help and bookmakers are offering up to five places on the race.
