Steve Ryder is back with three tips for today's action.
15:45 Kempton
This looks a weak 0-68 handicap and preference goes to TOP OF THE CLASS (best priced at 9/4) who won over this course and distance on her penultimate start.
The Mark Loughnane trained four-year-old has a much better record on the AW in comparison to turf with her finishing a neck 2nd over 7f here in November off a mark of 60 before winning here off the same mark in July by 1 ½ lengths.
Top Of The Class ran with credit to finish 4th beaten 3 ¾ lengths on turf at Doncaster last time and she races here off a 1lb lower mark. She is well drawn in Stall 1 and she should prove hard to beat.
16:15 Kempton
King’s Scholar has been well backed overnight for this 0-80 handicap but a chance is taken on TEN DIMES (best priced at 4/1) on her handicap debut. The John & Thady Gosden trained three-year-old won a Newcastle maiden in April before finishing 2nd under a penalty at Chelmsford in June.
Ten Dimes was then pitched into listed company at York last time when she finished 7th but she is now dropped into a handicap off a mark of 81. She steps up in trip to 1m3f as well as being fitted with first time blinkers and she should hold strong claims off top weight.
18:40 Nottingham
The William Knight trained STANDBACKANDLOOK (best priced at 13/8) has a superb record in cheekpieces and he should hold strong claims of completing a hat-trick of wins.
The three-year-old finished 2nd behind Small Fry at Lingfield off a mark of 54 before winning by three lengths at Wolverhampton off the same mark.
Standbackandlook followed up at Wolverhampton last time by 6 ½ lengths off a mark of 60 reversing form with Small Fry. The handicapper has raised him 9lbs lbs but he instead runs here under a 6lb penalty so he is 3lbs “well in” at the weights and he should prove hard to beat.
