Military Academy is a half-brother to a Group 1 winner and any market support for him would have to be noted.

LA YAKEL will be sharper for a comeback run at Ascot and the ground has turned in his favour. A winner on soft ground at Doncaster last autumn, William Haggas' five-year-old has strong claims if back to his best. Mr Alan will also appreciate the underfoot conditions and looks a threat off his current rating, while dual novice winner Theory Of Tides struggled in Group 2 company at Ascot in June, but could feature at this level making his handicap debut. Last year's winner Postileo is 5lb higher but may go well again.

Iain Jardine sent out last year's winner of this race and his MOONSTONE BOY ticks plenty of boxes. The three-year-old won an apprentices' handicap on soft ground over course and distance just 10 says ago and escapes a penalty for that success. Digital returns to this lower level with solid claims having scored here in July, while stable companion Reigning Profit also won at the track on his penultimate start, but is 6lb higher and has been beaten since. Mythical Phoenix will likely finish thereabouts having found one too good yet again at Ayr last month.

Sound Reason went close at Beverley last week, but today's soft going is a worry for him and WARRENDALE WAGYU is preferred. The unexposed three-year-old has already won at Doncaster this summer and failed to catch the winner by only a head at Ayr on his latest start. Lady Bouquet landed a double over the minimum trip, including a C&D success, before being beaten over 6f and she can get involved, while Object has won on a soft surface and is worth a second glance.
