Epsom Downs 2.07 Tactical Plan (10/3)

I’m not giving up on TACTICAL PLAN as I think there is a big performance in there. He went close in a maiden at Catterick on penultimate start and wasn’t disgraced in a handicap at Chester last time. Back in maiden company here he should find this easier and I expect his experience to count for plenty. There doesn’t look to be anything wrong with his attitude and I make him the one to beat so 10/3 at the time of writing seems generous enough.

Gap Year ran a big race on debut and then ran well again when fourth at Bath when last seen. As long as he doesn’t need the run he could improve and emerge as the danger. Letsbeatsepsis has also shown ability so could improve and get involved as well.

15:00 Chepstow

Chepstow 3.00 Dalmally (3/1)

I backed DALMALLY at Chelmsford at the start of the month and while he failed to get the job done he ran a big race in defeat going down just a length. He is obviously open to further improvement on what is just his third start and this looks a good opportunity to go one better. I just think inexperience got the better of him last time and he should step forward again and get his head in front now. Tom Marquand gets the leg up and connections are hopeful.

Enchanted Eye has only been beaten narrowly the last twice and with more to come is the danger. Louie The Legend should have a bright enough future too and I expect him to get competitive again off the back of a nice run at Chelmsford last time.
