15:35 Musselburgh

GYTO Notebook Double for Wednesday 28th August

Musselburgh 3.35 Evelyn's Phoenix (9/4)

The likeable EVELYN’S PHOENIX looks to have found another good opportunity to win. He has won two of his last four starts and made most running on well to score at Ripon when last seen.

He has gone up 5lb for that but the front pair came clear and this doesn’t look to have much strength in depth either so I make him the one to beat.

Miners Gamble was beaten less than two lengths into fourth at Southwell last month and will be the danger if building on that effort. More Than A Feelin has also been in good order and is respected too.

20:30 Kempton

Kempton 8.30 Felicity (9/4)

Blue Point filly FELICITY made a winning handicap debut at Lingfield despite doing plenty wrong. She was much keener than ideal early on and had to be woken up sooner than ideal as well but I liked her attitude and she knuckled down well to eventually get on top where it matters.

I think you can mark that up and if she settles better a 4lb rise won’t be enough to stop her going in again and making it 2-2 in handicaps.

War Bride has been running well all season and just bumped into one in the shape of Heartwarmer at Windsor so looks the most immediate threat. Apeeling is another one capable but does need to bounce back as Chepstow was poor.
