This maiden looks to be between Zayer and RESERVARDO (best priced at EVENS) with preference going to the latter looks open to more progress. The Simon & Ed Crisford trained colt was sent off 8/15 to make a winning debut at Windsor in a ten-runner maiden race where inexperience appeared to tell both in the early and late stages of the race.

Reservardo was slowly away in the 5f contest which is a surprise for an expensive breeze up purchase but was only beaten a head at the finish by a runner who had the benefit of a recent run. Silvestre De Sousa takes over on board and he should be well suited by this track.

The Paul Midgley trained TWELFTH KNIGHT (best priced at 11/2) won this race last season off a mark of 86 off top weight when it was a Class 4 0-85 handicap and he should hold strong claims off top weight this year despite it now being a Class 4 0-78 handicap. The five-year-old is now rated 80 which is the same mark as when 3rd beaten only a length over this course and distance earlier this month.
That was a Class 3 0-95 handicap so this represents a significant drop in class and Twelfth Night looks sure to run well with up to four places available.

This looks a weak 0-60 handicap and preference goes to BIG BARD (best priced at 5/2) who has shown good form at this track both on the AW and on turf. The Gary & Josh Moore trained six-year-old won over this course and distance in July off a mark of 55 by an eased down length before finishing a close 2nd on turf here over this trip of 6f off a mark of 64.

Big Bard returns to the AW here off a mark of 60 so he should prove well handicapped and he can win this weak contest and provide 7lb claimer Joe Bradnam with a first winning ride for the yard at the first attempt.
