I was impressed with the way GREEK GIFT came back to ultimately win impressively at Beverley last time. She ran strongly through the line and was much the best in the end. She has gone up 7lb but deservedly so and with more to come this looks another good opportunity to notch up another win. She is 1-1 at this track too so has plenty going for her once more.

Big Bug was beaten less than 2 lengths on handicap debut at Lingfield so if building on that could have a chance. Sealine is also a potential danger but does need to improve on nursery debut.

Southwell 7.12 Warmonger (9/4)

The progressive WARMONGER is unbeaten since going up to 2 miles and beyond winning his last 3 and even up another 10lb I think he is the one to beat. He just seems to have stamina in abundance and if he learns to settle better he should be capable of an even bigger performance. I’m struggling to see what beats him so I’m keen to keep him on side again.

Manxman achieved a similar winning spree to the selection last year and hasn’t been running badly so could be the one to give him most to think about. Shagpyle also has a squeak if bouncing back.
