Friday Stat Bet

I have had my eye on BEYOND WORDS with a view to handicaps and I’m surprised she is available as big as 8/1 here. She clearly needed the experience on debut and then found the step up to a mile and a half too much on second start but did shape with promise. 

That was a good race at Windsor last month and she wasn’t disgraced. An opening mark of 62 likely underestimates this filly by Frankel.

Trainer James Tate has done well with handicap debutants this year with two winners and eight placed efforts from just 15 runners. His place strike rate is over 50% so the 15/8 for her to hit the frame (three places) looks a great bet.

Improving colt who clearly needed his debut run but stepped forward to finish a good fourth at Glorious Goodwood and can progress again up to a mile so good chance to get off the mark here.

Good looking filly who wasn’t at her best finishing tailed off at Bath on reappearance getting badly hampered a couple of furlongs out. Given time since and drop back to 7f will suit so could bounce back.

16:35 Sandown

Sandown 4.35 Adelabella (6/4)

Missed just a short head at Doncaster but progressed well since winning at Nottingham and then following up at Newmarket last time. Form stacking up and hat-trick may well be on the cards now.

19:43 Salisbury

Salisbury 7.43 Apostle (6/4)

Well bred filly who failed to land the gamble on handicap debut but left that behind to win convincingly at Chelmsford last time. Carries a penalty but completely unexposed so should follow up against these.
