Dropped both in trip and into maiden company, he is the one to beat. Inherit is noted, as is the William Haggas-trained debutant Mockirr.

LIGHT UP OUR STARS failed to see out 1m2f at Pontefract recently, but the locally-trained gelding will be more at home back over a mile and, from a competitive mark, can regain the winning sequence. Ring of Light continues to run well in defeat and he is a worthy adversary as his handicap rating continues to fall. Style Of Life has two wins from her three starts on the all-weather and she is another to consider.

FLYING SECRET may be winless since June last year, but he hinted at a return to form when not getting the clearest of runs and eventually finishing fourth at Chepstow last time out. Stepping up to 1m looks like a good move and he is preferred to recent Thirsk third L'Argent and Embarked, who has done very well without getting his head in front since joining new connections. Chagall has dropped 3lb below his last winning mark, while Thanks Dad is another to note following a respectable effort here last time out.

The five-year-old has operated off higher marks in the past, and it may be that unexposed handicap debutant Doralee gives her the most to think about. On his first start for new connections, Howzak should be considered, along with Jack Of Clubs and Musical Diva.

CALDWELL has won over hurdles since scoring over this course and distance in February. He drops in trip after a good effort back on the Flat at Newcastle and Jennie Candlish's yard has been among the winners in the past week. Squeezebox spoilt his chance when failing to settle at Newbury, but can feature with a repeat of his second at Haydock in May, while Swinging London went close at Pontefract when last seen racing over today's trip and is not out of this either.

Luke Morris could afford to ease down OVERTURE in the closing stages at Nottingham and still win by a wide margin last week. The New Approach filly is clearly on the upgrade and she can defy a 6lb penalty to complete a hat-trick. Alacrity should make a race of it despite a 3lb rise for a cosy win over today's distance at Kempton, while Mildyjama won off a higher mark at Kempton at this time last year and is preferred to Polar Princess of the remaining pair.
