Steve Ryder has picked out two horse racing tips for Saturday’s horse racing and lined up a third selection for tomorrow’s card at Brighton.
15:07 Beverley
3:07 Beverley - Willolarupi 9/1 (0.5pt ew)
This looks a competitive 0-70 handicap but preference goes to recent course and distance winner WILLOLARUPI (best priced at 9/1).
The Declan Carroll trained three-year-old has form figures of 321 at Beverley in his career so far including placed efforts of 74 and 69 before a victory last time off a mark of 63.
The handicapper has raised Willolarupi 4lbs for that ½ length victory which is fair and he looks sure to run well with up to four places available.
15:20 Newton Abbot
3:20 Newton Abbot- Beat Box 11/8 (1pt)
BEAT BOX (best priced at 11/8) won on his stable debut for Dan Skelton last time and he still looks well handicapped off only an 8lb higher mark.
The eight-year-old had dropped from a mark of 106 to 89 when trained by James Ewart last season but beat the in-form Dream Jet by 1 ½ lengths at Market Rasen with the pair pulling seven lengths clear of the third.
Beat Box was given a confident waiting ride by Harry Skelton that day and he should be able to employ the same tactics with only six runners in this race.
15:22 Brighton
Horse Racing Tips for Tomorrow
Sunday 3:22 Brighton- Broadhaven Bay 11/4 (1pt)
As you would expect, there are a couple of unexposed runners in this 0-55 nursery handicap but it looks a good opportunity for BROADHAVEN BAY (best priced at 11/4) to record a second victory of his career. The George Baker trained gelding finished well beaten in three 7f maiden/novice races before winning on his handicap debut last time over 5 ½ furlongs here 11 days ago.
Broadhaven Bay stayed on strongly to win by a short head that day shaping like this step up in trip to 6f would him better. Nicola Currie is once again on board and he should prove hard to beat.
