Nightime Dancer and Battle Stride both sold for six-figure sums so warrant attention as well.

Roger Varian and Ralph Beckett have shared the last four runnings between them, so focus is on Gulya and REQUISITE. At 400,000gns, Beckett's juvenile cost double the amount of her rival so she gets the nod. Take A Breath made 135,000gns as a yearling, and Kingsclere is a full-sister to Kameko.

A competitive affair as always and it might pay to side with the improving MAGIC MILD, who had three subsequent winners behind when scoring in a nursery at Newmarket last month. The daughter of Havana Grey looks well up to this rise in grade and she is preferred to Newbury debut winner Jewelry, and Handcuffed, who performed creditably at York last time out. Trainer Ralph Beckett won this contest two years ago and he looks to have a similar type in the shape of Newmarket scorer Tabiti.

Only a head separated Katey Kontent (second) and DANCE AND ROMANCE (third) when they met at Goodwood in July, and it is the latter who is taken to overturn that form despite being 3lb worse off at the weights. Andrew Balding's charge remains completely unexposed and Oisin Murphy taking over in the saddle for the first time is a major plus as she looks to see off the likes of Miss Bodacious, who was seventh in the aforementioned contest, and American Arrow.

The son of Qurbaan has to be respected, but he could come out second best to FARO DI NOTTE, who made a pleasing start in handicap company to fill the runner-up spot at Goodwood last month. Marcus Tregoning's three-year-old is only 1lb higher for that and should go well. Gloucestershire and Monkey Island are others to consider.

User Amistoso isn't ruled out either.
