After running a promising race on debut AFENTIKO stepped forward from that to get off the mark at Windsor. He was well backed that day and made no mistake. Freshened up I thought he ran an encouraging race beaten 2 lengths into second over C&D last month and with more to come now handicapping he could regain the winning groove.

  • Liberalised – Haydock 2.35
  • Awaal - Ascot 4.45
  • Got Grey - Bangor 5.05
  • She’s A Warrior - Kempton 7.30

Haydock 2.35 Liberalised (5/2)

I’m keen to give Kodiac filly LIBERALISED another chance here for Karl Burke. She looked like she could be a smart prospect winning on debut and then was pitched into Group company on just her second start. Again she was highly tried at Newmarket last month and now in calmer waters and back down to 6f she could come good again.

Ascot 4.45 Awaal (3/1)

I wouldn’t judge AWAAL too harshly on that reappearance run at Newmarket. He had smart form to his name last year placing in some big handicaps including the Lincoln, Royal Hunt Cup and Bunbury Cup. He shaped better than the bare result on return and now dropped 2lb and stretching back out to a mile should help so decent claims.

Bangor 5.05 Got Grey (13/8)

That was an impressive win from GOT GREY at Stratford last month and if he turns up in that sort of form again then he will take a lot of beating. He carries a penalty but likely has more to come for his new yard and might not have to beat a great deal. There is quite a bit of pace on and that should play into his hands again like it did last time.

Kempton 7.30 She’s A Warrior (2/1)

Not a great deal to go on here but SHE’S A WARRIOR definitely caught the eye on debut finishing third over C&D last month and with natural progression she should prove hard to beat. She got caught wide last time and just looked a bit clueless when asked to go and win the race. That experience should be a big benefit and she can get off the mark against these.
