The son of Golden Horn has to compete from a 7lb higher mark here, but that may not be enough to stop his progression. Shadow Dance is an obvious threat following his success over 1m4f at York's Ebor meeting, while Subsequent edges out Faylaq to be best of the rest.

JONQUIL had much more in hand than the winning margin suggests on his debut at Sandown because the son of Lope De Vega endured a far-from-ideal trip. The fact he still managed to score suggests that he has plenty of ability and he should be able to make his mark at this level. Symbol Of Honour was a close-up sixth in the Coventry at Royal Ascot and must not be discounted on his return from a break. The rest may need to improve, but Benevento and Mr Chaplin are the pick of them.

BIG MOJO did not appear to get home when fourth in the Gimcrack at York last month, but that followed a success in the Molecomb at Goodwood. Back over the minimum trip, the son of Mohaather could be hard to stop. Aesterius chased home the selection two starts ago and has subsequently scored at Group 3 level in France. With that in mind, Archie Watson's colt has to be of some interest. Others to consider are Magnum Force, Arizona Blaze and Tropical Storm.

John & Thady Gosden hold a strong hand with Gregory and SWEET WILLIAM, with the latter taken to earn a fifth career victory. Although the five-year-old found reopposing rival Trueshan too strong in last year's contest, he has taken his form to a new level since the fitting of a visor, with a repeat of his latest second in the Goodwood Cup likely to make him tough to beat. Gregory may give his stablemate most to do, particularly if allowed an uncontested lead, while it's too early to write off Point Lonsdale, who is unexposed over this sort of distance.

Having posted a fine second from a position in rear at York three weeks ago, compensation could be headed in BINT AL DAAR's direction. A 2lb rise looks more than fair for the Muhaarar filly and she's preferred to fellow progressive rival Cabrera. Ed Bethell's inmate arrives on the back of a good second over 1m6f at Newmarket and a return to 1m4f won't prevent another prominent showing. A 9lb higher rating demands improvement from Haydock scorer Miss Alpilles, with There's The Door seen as a bigger threat.

Whirl sets the standard of those to have raced, with her latest fifth in the Convivial at York more than respectable. However, there are some interesting newcomers on show and it could be worth taking a punt on KINGSCLERE. Andrew Balding's filly is a sister to 2000 Guineas winner Kameko and she will undoubtedly take some stopping if possessing anything like his ability. The market should guide, which can also be said for fellow debutants Gulya and Coma Cluster.

Diligently accounted for Sensorium (third) in the big sales race at York last month and it would be no surprise to see him confirm that form to go close. However, it may pay to side with WHEELS OF FIRE, who got off the mark at Lingfield on his latest outing and could be up to defying his opening mark of 84. Far Above The Law has made the frame in both of his starts in nurseries and is another to take seriously.

CLUEDO showed improved form after undergoing wind surgery to fill the runner-up spot at Goodwood on her return from a break last month and she looks to have lots in her favour to go one better. Rock Of England occupied the same position at Beverley on his most recent start and has to be considered off an unchanged mark, while Crypto Quest is another to keep an eye on after his second at Southwell.
