15:33 Hamilton

Spanish Hustle 11/1 (0.5pt ew)

This looks a competitive 0-80 handicap but I am willing to take a chance on SPANISH HUSTLE (best priced at 11/1) at a double figure price. The Jim Goldie trained six-year-old has a good record at Hamilton in his career with four victories at the track and comes into the race in excellent recent form.

Spanish Hustle won by ¾ length in July off a mark of 67 before finishing 5th beaten only 1 ½ lengths at Musselburgh on his next start. He was 3rd over 1m5f here on heavy ground last time off a mark of 70 beaten only 1 ¾ lengths and gets to run here off the same mark. Kaiya Fraser takes over on board taking off a handy 5lbs and he should outrun his odds.

Waleyfa 11/8 (1pt)

WALEYFA (best priced at 11/8) has recaptured her form since joining the Daniel & Claire Kubler stable and she should hold strong claims despite a 5lb penalty. The six-year-old finished 2nd by a neck over this course and distance last season off a mark of 60 so running here off in theory a mark of 63 shouldn’t be beyond her.

Waleyfa has won both of her starts at Brighton after a break with a head 2nd at Southwell sandwiched in between and she should prove hard to beat from Stall 4 off top weight.

15:20 Beverley

Tuesday 3:20 Beverley- Emaraaty Ana 11/8 (1pt)

The weights for this conditions race are interesting as the former Group 1 winner EMARAATY ANA (best priced at 11/8) is in receipt of weight from both Clarendon House and Tees Spirit. The Jamie Osbourne trained eight-year-old bounced back to form last time over this course and distance in the Beverley Bullet Stakes when only beaten a neck by Democracy Dilemma and Albasheer at the finish.

Tees Spirit should give Emaraaty Ana a similar tow into this race and I expect the 105 rated gelding to get past late on under Saffie Osbourne.
