Just the 36 to post for this heritage handicap, so considering it now has the same amount of runners as the Grand National, it’s worth a couple of darts.
I like the look of three drawn high, with the main selection coming from NORWALK HAVOC. Only lightly raced having had just seven runs, but has won two of them, one on heavy going and the other on soft, but both with ease.
Second and fourth in Listed races in between, the first time handicap start last time out produced a solid runner-up display. A mile and half a furlong at the Galway Festival, he stayed on strongly to be just denied.
An eye-catching run last time out for DUAL IDENTITY makes me reach for the saver button, and I can’t let him go unbacked.
Stuck in traffic at York behind the classy Sir Busker, he came home best to finish runner-up. He’s solid in these handicaps and has won on soft at the start of the season at Sandown.
He has been running against subsequent winners, and sees the trip out well. Plenty places available as expected, so three at each-way prices.
