Steve Ryder has picked out two horse racing tips for Sunday’s horse racing and lined up another selection for tomorrow’s card at the Hamilton.
15:30 Epsom
3:30 Epsom- Miller Spirit 11/4 (1pt)
The Gary & Josh Moore trained MILLER SPIRIT (best priced at 11/4) has been in great form this season with recent form figures of 114241 including a course and distance success last time on soft ground. The four-year-old won the Jump Jockeys Derby on his previous start by ½ length and a repeat of that form should see him win this Apprentices’ Derby.
The handicapper has only raised Miller Spirit 3lbs for his success last time and he should prove hard to beat under Alec Voikhansky off top weight.
16:40 Epsom
4:40 Epsom- Arkhalia Flynn 11/4 (1pt)
The testing ground at Epsom should suit ARKHALIA FLYNN (best priced at 11/4) who won twice at Ffos Las and Haydock on soft ground prior to a close 2nd at Haydock last time on good ground. The progressive Jack Channon trained three-year-old has form figures of 13112 in handicaps and has progressed from a mark of 70 up to 84 so far this season.
Arkhalia Flynn is only 1lb higher than his ¾ length 2nd at Haydock last time and he should relish this return to softer ground in this race.
16:10 Hamilton
Monday 4:10 Hamilton- Moonstone Boy 3/1 (1pt)
The Iain Jardine trained MOOSTONE BOY (best priced at 3/1) comes into this race off the back of two successes over this course and distance and he should hold strong claims of completing a hat-trick of wins. The three-year-old ran well in maiden here to finish 2nd beaten less than a length before winning his other two starts so it is clearly a track that suits him well.
Moonstone Boy runs here off a 6lb higher mark than last time as he won unpenalised after a victory in an apprentice handicap but he looks progressive and should be able to win again in this grade.
