Albus Anne 6/1 (0.5pt ew)

The Jimmy Fox trained ALBUS ANNE (best priced at 6/1) won this race last season off a mark of 51 and she should hold strong claims off a 4lb higher mark. The five-year-old mare won this on soft ground last season before finishing 2nd over the same course and distance on her next start on heavy ground off a mark of 54.

Albus Anne had slightly disappointed on her first two starts this season but bounced back to form at this track last time when a comfortable 2 ¼ length winner in a first-time hood. That victory came off a mark of 51 but if she settles as well as last time when she should be up to defying a 4lb higher mark in this race with Alec Voikhansky once again taking off a handy 3lbs.

Be Proud 15/2 (0.5pt ew)

BE PROUD (best priced at 15/2 (0.5pt ew) can be excused his run in the Ayr Silver Cup last time and he looks overpriced back in Class 4 company in this race. The Jim Goldie trained eight-year-old has a good record at this track in his career with three victories and a further eleven placed efforts with his previous two victories coming over this course and distance.

Be Proud has shown his versatility ground wise as he won a year ago off a mark of 78 on heavy ground before winning in June this year off a mark of 77 on good to firm ground. He finished 3rd in a Class 3 handicap off a mark of 80 following his victory in June so he looks well handicapped off a mark of 77 and he looks sure to be involved in the finish with Paul Mulrennan back on board.

17:45 Kempton

Wednesday: 5:45 Kempton- Willem Twee 11/8 (1pt)

Night Raider is an interesting contender back on the AW but the standard is set by WILLEM TWEE (best priced at 11/8) who can further enhance his impressive AW record. The James Fanshawe trained five-year-old won twice on the AW last season at Kempton and Lingfield before running a career best when 3rd in the Group 3 Chipchase Stakes at Newcastle on his penultimate start.

The form of the run, when beaten only 1 ¼ lengths, has been boosted since with the winner Montassib winning the Group 1 Haydock Sprint Cup and the second Kinross winning the Group 2 Park Stakes at Doncaster.

Willem Twee won a competitive Racing League handicap by a nose at Wolverhampton last time off a mark of 106 and is deserving of his rating of 108 in this race. On figures he is equal with the filly Kinta but she is returning from 215 days off the track and that should mean Willem Twee is hard to beat with Oisin Murphy back on board.
