Joe Norris from GYTO Wednesday Stat Bet and Lucky 15 tips for today’s horse racing.

GYTO horse racing tips for Wednesday 2nd October features a stat bet for Kempton and a Lucky 15 covering Sligo, Musselburgh, Catterick and Kempton.
Wednesday Stat Bet
This is a competitive race but it might be worth chancing CLASSIC ENCOUNTER on handicap debut for George Boughey. He has only had four starts and shaped quite well despite only finishing fifth at Newcastle last month. The time of that race was good and if building on that will run a big race here.
William Hill
- Solid in-play betting service
- Cash-in option to help increase profitability
- Excellent reputation within the UK betting-industry
George Boughey has had 13 winners and 31 placed efforts from 73 handicap debutants too which is 17% (win) and 42% (place) strike rates so that is even more encouraging. I think the 7/1 will get backed and the 7/4 to place seems generous as well.

Lucky 15 Tips Today
Today’s Lucky 15 from Joe Norris at GYTO pays 365/1 at the time of posting – a £1 Lucky 15 would return £924 from a £15 outlay.
- Brazil – Sligo 1.50
- Kyber Crystal - Musselburgh 3.30
- Monsieur Kodi - Catterick 3.55
- Sea Journey - Kempton 4.00
It was quite clear BRAZIL needed the experience on chase debut at Wexford back in July. He didn’t shape badly but was never put in the race and made too many mistakes to get involved.
He has finished down the field on the Flat at Galway since but he still has potential over fences and I’m expecting a much better display in these calmer waters. Hypotenus also did well over hurdles and didn’t shape badly at Ballinrobe so looks the danger.
15:30 Musselburgh
Musselburgh 3.30 Kyber Crystal (7/2)
Good looking grey KYBER CRYSTAL was back in the winners enclosure at Hamilton last month and has now won two of her last four starts.
She took quite a big walk in the betting but won going away at the line so it was quite impressive. She carries a penalty here but if in similar form could be hard to stop in the closing stages.
Mrs Bagerran was two lengths behind the selection on penultimate start but has knocked on the door again since so looks the main threat.
15:55 Catterick
Catterick 3.55 Monsieur Kodi (4/1)
I know MONSIEUR KODI hasn’t won for a while now but this 5yo is coming back down the weights and is now 8lb below his last winning mark.
He didn’t shape badly in the Ayr Bronze Cup last month and was only beaten just over four lengths despite finishing midfield. If he builds on that in a much weaker race then he will be a danger to all in this.
Bill’s Baar was below par at Goodwood but if bouncing back could be the one that gives the selection most to think about.
16:00 Kempton
Kempton 4.00 Sea Journey (4/1)
There is a fair bit of potential on here but I’m looking forward to seeing SEA JOURNEY out again and this Sea The Stars filly may well prove good enough to win this.
She shaped with promise when fourth on debut at Newmarket and then missed just a neck on reappearance at Lingfield.
That form is solid and if she comes forward again as expected she should be the one to beat. Faifa was a good third at Doncaster when last seen and is the likely danger if improving again.
