I have been paying more attention to horses for courses recently and CAN’T STOP NOW catches the eye in the opener at Ayr on Thursday. He has won 2 of his last 3 with both of those victories coming over this C&D. His track record now reads 2 wins and 2 places from 5 attempts at this venue so he is becoming a bit of a track specialist.

Given he has placed 4 times from 5 runs at this track (twice when winning) the 2/1 available for him to hit the frame looks far too big. Given his recent form I’ve also had to back him each way at 8/1. I know he has a 4lb penalty but he still looks well treated.

Exeter 3.33 Cat Tiger (5/2)
The Gypsy Davey ran at Ludlow yesterday so is unlikely to take his chance which gives CAT TIGER an obvious chance of getting back in the winners enclosure. He is a veteran now but went down a length and a nose the last twice when last seen and has won fresh before so could prove the answer. He is back with Paul Nicholls and has more going for him than most in here. Hystery Bere could be the danger if reacting positively to the cheekpieces returning.
Chelmsford 4.38 Dubai Magic (15/8)
I thought DUBAI MAGIC was desperately unlucky not to get up at Wolverhampton last month. She was picking up strongly but the line just came a stride too soon. She is off the same mark here and should quickly make amends. Virtue Temperance clocked a career best winning at Brighton and looks the danger on polytrack debut. Love Rock is another one who should get competitive.
Thurles 4.50 Double Agent (7/4)
I can see DOUBLE AGENT going off favourite for this. He has got better with each start and missed just half a length at Navan last month. This further step up in trip should see him improve again and I make him the one to beat. Jetara obviously done really well over hurdles last year and is interesting now on the Flat. Soul Of Spain wasn’t disgraced when fourth at Navan last time and is another one to note.
Southwell 5.30 Rhyme Dust (13/8)
No surprise to see RHYME DUST favourite for this off the back of that really promising debut third. She was only beaten half a length and given she was sent off 25/1 they clearly expect her to improve plenty from that outing. The form looks solid enough and she should be the one to beat over 7f again here. The danger might come from debutant Eva Dickson who looks promising on paper so I’ll be keeping an eye on the betting.
