Racing Lee picks his winner of the Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket.

A small field of six make up this Group 1, but there's plenty of potential on offer.

The most exposed of the six is Rock Of Cashel. Him and Expanded are likely to be in here to make the numbers up and create a pace for stablemate and current favourite The Lion In Winter.
He was impressive when winning a Group 3 at York when last seen, but I did feel he got a good ride by Ryan Moore that day. That, along with the 52-day break, a short price and a step up in grade, is enough to take him on.
Seagulls Eleven ran a huge race in the Group 1 National Stakes at the Curragh last time out, but he was behind the unbeaten Ancient Truth prior to that (Steve Ryder's ante-post selection for Oddschecker Unlimited).

Ancient Truth himself is three from three at Newmarket (two July course), but again that was a Group 2. He’s not been seen for 91 days and he will have to show his worth, again.
He could have been the choice of William Buick, but instead that goes to the supplemented SHADOW OF LIGHT. The only Group 1 winner in the lineup, he burst clear to win going away by four lengths in the Middle Park here last time out.
The runner-up was Group 1 winner Whistlejacket, who had beaten Group 2 Coventry winner Rashabar prior, the form franked when Rashabar ran second in a Group 1 on Arc day last weekend.
They have the faith to supplement, he’s the chosen one of the stable jockey, and he has the impressive Group 1 form in the bag already.
He’s a solid play at a fair price, too!
