Good looking Frankel filly INVERSION definitely catches the eye now going handicapping. She clearly needed her debut run at Salisbury but given plenty of time returned this season with an encouraging effort at Newmarket. I don’t think she stayed when up in trip at Windsor and back down to a mile off a mark of just 74 she should make an impact.

Trainer Harry Charlton has done well with handicap debutants too saddling 6 winners and 8 placed efforts from just 22 runners. I can see the 4/1 getting backed and the Evens about her running into the frame looks good as well so is worth snapping up.

  • Swift Storm – Leicester 3.58
  • Something - Newcastle 4.25
  • Filanderer - Market Rasen 4.35
  • Realised - Yarmouth 4.45

Leicester 3.58 Swift Storm (3/1)

Arolla impressed making a winning start and she may well be good enough to defy the penalty but that is never an easy task and SWIFT STORM looks better value to me. He ran an eye-catching race on debut beaten just 2 lengths and then ran well at Thirsk to finish third. He has clocked good speed figures on both occasions and if progressing again can get off the mark.

Newcastle 4.25 Something (9/4)

The step up to this trip definitely saw SOMETHING improve. He was beaten just over a length over C&D last time and off just a 1lb higher mark with his form stacking up now I think this is a good opportunity to go one better and get off the mark. Laudable ran well just bumping into one in the shape of Annandale last time and could easily be the danger.

Market Rasen 4.35 Filanderer (7/2)

I’m keen to give FILANDERER another chance over fences. He ran well in defeat a couple of times last season before unseating on final start at Fontwell. He has been given time since and still has potential to do better. Copper Beach is becoming well treated and if building on that last run could go well and emerge as the danger. Into The Sunset is another one who could get competitive.

Yarmouth 4.45 Realised (9/4)

That was a big run in defeat from REALISED over 6f at this track last time and if building on that stepping back up a furlong she should be the one to beat. That form has already been franked with the third running well and the fourth winning since so off the same mark with Jim Crowley in the saddle again she has a massive shout. The Spotlight Kid has won over C&D and could be the one to give her most to think about.
