RULING MASTER stepped forward considerably from an inauspicious debut when fourth at Yarmouth and he probably won't need a similar level of improvement to make it third-time lucky. Talismans Time and One More Chrome made decent introductions, while The Lost Canvas came agonisingly close to landing the odds at Hamilton, although the winner did nothing for the form next time. Space Raider has experience to call upon, whereas Convergent samples competitive action for the first time, but Karl Burke's stoutly-bred newcomer is definitely worth a second look.

TEMPER TRAP was rewarded for some excellent efforts in defeat when accounting for Ey Up Its Jazz by the best part of four lengths at Leicester last week. He is 2lb well-in under his penalty compared to his revised rating and is worth sticking with. The 5lb turnaround probably isn't enough for Ey Up Its Jazz to gain his revenge, although he could close the gap. Treasure Storm took a step back in the right direction when third at Thirsk and is down to a handy mark.

Ratafia claimed this prize 12 months ago, but he has to compete off a 17lb higher figure now and has appeared in the assessor's grip. In contrast, DARBUCKS is 1lb well-in for his back-to-form Ayr triumph last week and he can strike again while the iron is hot. Diamondsinthesand has hit the crossbar twice as favourite since a Ffos Las victory and he excels when the mud is flying. Angel Of The Bay was too keen over a mile at Musselburgh and will be happier back at this trip.
