I don’t think JEZ BOMB should be too harshly judged on that Beverley run last time. He just raced too keenly throughout and inevitably failed to see it out finishing back in sixth. His win at this track prior to that was promising hitting the line hard. The time of that race was decent too and back at this venue he’ll be looking to keep his unbeaten track record in tact.

I definitely think this is a case of horses for courses as while we only have a small sample size to go off he looked really suited by this track and back in trip it would be no surprise to see him quickly back to form.

Stratford 2.55 Greyval (13/8)

Back down in grade GREYVAL looks a big player here. She wasn’t disgraced at Market Rasen last month and this looks a fair bit easier. Even a repeat of that last run might see her good enough to take this out. She is off the same mark so plenty to like. Ip Up finished last over fences at Hexham but back over hurdles she could be the danger. Strong Belle pulled up at Kelso but is likely well handicapped if bouncing back so is another to note.

15:40 Leopardstown

Leopardstown 3.40 Thrice (5/2)

Aidan O’Brien fires two darts at this and while Wayne Lordan is on Trinity College I can see THRICE taking a bit of beating. This colt by Wootton Bassett landed the odds impressively at Listowel last month and is only going to improve again stretching out in trip. Stablemate Trinity College wasn’t disgraced at the Curragh last time and could still be the one to chase him home. Wemightakedlongway is also going the right way and is another one who should run well.

15:50 Limerick

Limerick 3.50 Brilliant Light (7/2)

The money came for BRILLIANT LIGHT at Worcester and he made no mistake rallying bravely to get back up at the line with the front pair clear. He has been beaten at Listowel since but only went down narrowly. The drop back to 2 miles will suit here and he could easily get back in the winners enclosure. Luimneach is also dropping back in trip and looks the danger having gone down just half a length at Sligo when last seen. Slip Jig is another one I can see getting involved.

16:05 Catterick

Catterick 4.05 Racingbreaks Ryder (3/1)

I know RACINGBREAKS RYDER is on a bit of a losing run but he definitely caught the eye when runner-up at Goodwood last week. He was denied a run at a crucial stage before coming home well. He has been left off the same mark and should be able to make amends here. Mister Sox will appreciate conditions and looks the danger but Zainabb also likes it here and it wouldn’t be a surprise if she managed to get competitive.
