SILVER ARROW showed marked improvement from his first to second start when third at Newcastle last time out, and the form of that contest has been franked by the winner going close in a valuable sales race since. The step up in trip looks like a good move and he gets the vote ahead of recent C&D runner-up Genbu, and Jachin, who wasn't beaten far at Redcar last time. Canavan and Saxon Raider cannot be ruled out either.

THREE DONS has enjoyed an excellent 2024 and would have completed his second hat-trick of the year were it not for bumping into an unexposed handicap debutant at Haydock. He is up another 2lb, but clearly remains on an upward curve and will relish conditions. Small Fry also had to settle for second behind an improver when on a three-timer at Salisbury and could easily bounce back. Bodorgan will be dangerous if he sees out the mile and a half.

FINE INTERVIEW has two soft-ground victories to his name either side of a Newmarket defeat so will appreciate a testing surface. He has been hit with an 8lb hike and has to prove he stays the extra furlong, but he powered clear at Pontefract so it shouldn't be a problem. Legal Reform took a step back in the right direction when second at Epsom - a position he filled in this race 12 months ago - and heads a list of dangers that also includes Vince Le Prince.

RACINGBREAKS RYDER hasn't lived up to the promise of his early three-year-old campaign, but he is gradually getting back on track and served notice he is ready to capitalise on a sliding handicap mark when runner-up at Goodwood last weekend. Mister Sox is holding his form admirably and should be on the premises again, while Desert Dream made the frame at Chelmsford after completing a C&D brace. Zainabb is worth plenty of thought too.

VINTAGE CLARETS won this competitive sprint off a higher mark last season and another bold bid looks likely. Richard Fahey's inmate arrives on the back of a solid second at Ascot and should have the measure of last year's runner-up Glorious Angel once again. The latter ran well at Ripon when last in action, but Vince L'Amour may prove a bigger threat having won with a bit to spare at York last week.

Music Society finished third off a higher mark in last year's renewal with FORTAMOUR back in fourth, but the latter is fancied to turn the tables based on recent form. Ben Haslam's charge finished a creditable third in a tougher sprint at Ripon last month and a similar effort may well suffice. International Girl produced one of her better efforts when third at Southwell latest and looks primed to feature, while Highjacked looks well treated.
