WIMBLEDON HAWKEYE doesn’t look a world beater, but has the best form all the same and could land this Group 1.
Winner of a Group 2 last time out on soft ground, he has been staying on well in his races prior to that.
His team are in good form, and having beat graded winners like The Waco Kid when runner-up at York, and also having the Listed winner Luther well seen off last time out, he seems to be progressing nicely to take this.
Plenty unexposed types, but the selection has the best form currently, so it’s for the rest to step it up to his form at present.

A winner last time out over the trip on soft ground, CITY OF DELIGHT is coming here on a five-timer.
He often plays things late so may help when trying to dodge the handicapper, and only nudged up two pounds, and freshened up off a break, he has the assistance of William Buick to hopefully make it five wins in a row.

The best bet of the day comes in the Group 3 St Simon Stakes.
AL AASY is a multiple Group 3 winner, including when bolting up here two starts back over further.
He prefers better ground than likely, but handles it having won on soft. This is his bag, with trip and grade in his favour, and it’s his to lose back under Jim Crowley.
He’s clear on ratings.
