15:55 Catterick

The Seb Spencer trained CROCODILE POWER (best priced at 11/4) has form figures of 211 at Catterick since joining this yard and he can get back to winning ways at this track. The six-year-old won by a neck over this course and distance in August off a mark of 51 before following up by a length off a mark of 57 on soft ground in September.

Crocodile Power was only beaten a length when 4th at Chelmsford last time at a track which doesn’t suit front runners so returning here off the same mark of 60 should mean that he is hard to beat. Dale Swift has developed a good relationship with the horse and it would be disappointing if he were beaten with conditions to suit.

Billy Loughnane is 2/2 aboard BARLEYBROWN (best priced at 5/2) in his career and he should hold strong claims of recording a fifth course and distance success of the season.

The Ruth Carr trained gelding has won off marks of 50, 51, 55 and 60 this season and was a huge eyecatcher when an unlucky 3rd here on his penultimate start.

The handicapper has raised Barleybrown 7lbs for his latest 3 ½ length success so he runs here from 2lbs “well in” at the weights under a 5lb penalty and should prove hard to beat from Stall 1.

The Kevin Ryan trained BARNABY (best priced at 7/2) has proved a revelation since switching to the AW with two comfortable course and distance successes.

The three-year-old is 0-8 on turf with only one 3rd placed finish to his name but landed a gamble here a month ago when winning by 1 ¾ lengths off a mark of 53.

Barnaby was even more impressive last time over this course and distance when a comfortable 3 ¾ length winner and the handicapper has raised him 7lbs up to a mark of 65.

He instead runs here under a 6lb penalty meaning that he is 1lb “well in” at the weights and he should be able to complete a course and distance hat-trick.
