14:20 Fakenham

The Alex Dunn trained INSTANT GAMBLER (best priced at EVENS) has proved a revelation since going chasing this season and he is expected to complete a five-timer. The eight-year-old has put in his best performances at Fontwell but did win comfortably under Richie McLernon at Hexham earlier this month by 2 ¼ lengths off a mark of 78.

The handicapper has raised Instant Gambler 11lbs for his latest seven length victory but he instead runs here under a 7lb penalty meaning that he is 4lbs “well in” at the weights. None of his rivals arrive in winning form and he should be able to make it 5/5 over fences.

18:30 Kempton

The Stuart Kittow trained COUP DE FORCE (best priced at 5/1) has a good record on the AW in her career with four wins and a second from seven starts and she runs here on a hat-trick. The five-year-old won on her polytrack debut over this course and distance in September off a mark of 69 before following up at Southwell earlier this month off a mark of 72 by the same distance of ¾ length.

Coup De Force has won by less than a length in her previous six victories so she is a difficult horse to assess for the handicapper and she should hold strong claims with four places widely available and Rob Hornby taking over on board.

19:00 Kempton

DAMASCUS STEEL (best priced at 13/2) has previously shown his best form at Kempton in his career so it was encouraging to see him defy odds of 25/1 to win at Newcastle earlier this month. The Ed Dunlop trained four-year-old has form figures of 121 at Kempton in his career with his runner-up effort coming over a trip too far of 2 miles. Dropped back down to 1m4f in August, he won by ½ length off a mark of 72 before winning by the same distance at Southwell last time off a mark of 75.

A 3lb rise from the handicapper should still underestimate him back at this track and he looks sure to be involved in the finish with Neil Callan back in the saddle.
