Steve Ryder has three horse racing tips for Friday's racing at Newcastle.

Nigel Tinkler and Rowan Scott combined to win this last season with a handicap debutant on his AW debut and LIMA SIERRA (best priced at 7/2) has the same profile this year. Well beaten on her three qualifying runs at Beverley, Ripon and Nottingham when sent off 100/1, 28/1 and 100/1, she showed enough ability that a mark of 57 could underestimate her.
Both Kaleidoscope Eyes and Monticristo Boy have had enough chances to get their head in front and this looks likely to go to a handicap debutant and Lima Sierra is preferred.
17:15 Newcastle
ROGUE ENCORE (best priced at 2/1) returns to Newcastle for the first time since finishing 3rd behind Group 1 winners Inisherin and Kalpana and he must be well handicapped off a mark of 77. He finished only a nose behind the now 116 rated Kalpana that day and 3 ½ lengths ahead of First Alliance who is now rated 81 having won his next start.
Rogue Encore finished 3rd beaten less than a length off this mark at Windsor in July before disappointing at both Newbury and Haydock off higher marks. Back down to a mark of 77 and returning to Newcastle, he should prove hard to beat in first time cheekpieces.
17:45 Newcastle
The Geoff Oldroyd trained PROJECT GEOFIN (best priced at 2/1) is unbeaten in his two starts at Newcastle and should prove hard to beat once again at this track. The three-year-old won a novice race here in August last year by a nose before struggling in turf handicaps at York, Haydock and Doncaster.
Project Geofin won by ¾ length off a mark of 69 here a month ago and the handicapper has only raised him 3lbs for that victory. Stall 5 will give Billy Garritty plenty of options and he should be able to complete a hat-trick of wins at the course.
