The seven-year-old may be winless after 17 starts in this sphere but this appeals as an ideal opportunity, with Belle Na Bann, a progressive sort last season, looking best placed to chase him home. A winner here over the larger obstacles back in May, Tropical Talent is another to consider, as is Langton Wold.

KINGSTON NARCISSUS has improved with each appearance since joining Rebecca Menzies and last month's second over C&D pointed towards a gelding who looks ready to get off the mark. Placed over further on each of her last two starts, Brave Jen could be well suited by dropping back in trip and she is entitled to have a say. Demilion and hurdling debutant Supreme George enter the equation too.

The James Owen stable can do little wrong at present and as long as CHARGING THUNDER improves on his jumping from an impressive debut success at Fakenham, the six-year-old looks capable of following up on the rise in distance. Will Knott arguably won a stronger race than the selection here, but the fact that he was well beaten over C&D on his previous start is a worry. Laddie Cooper Mia can pick up the pieces on her hurdles bow if either of those previously mentioned falter.

Presenting Pete didn't build on his chasing debut second here over further when fifth at Southwell, although he can't be written off yet. Sun Joy may have needed his return at Kempton and the handicapper has given him a chance by dropping him 3lb, but a chance is taken on BURROWS HALL. A consistent type over hurdles, which included a win at Catterick over 3m1f in February, he appeals as the type to progress further now sent over the larger obstacles.

Both of BEBSIDE BANTER's victories have come at Sedgefield and the seven-year-old, who gained the first of those on his chasing debut when returning from a break a year ago, is expected to have more to offer in this discipline. Selectivelistening drops back in trip after his recent Hereford second and is more than capable of being in the mix on his first start for a new trainer. Others to note include Dr Shirocco and Into The Sunset.

APPLES MOON made a winning start to life in handicap company at Warwick before filling the runner-up spot at Hereford. Nicky Martin's mare is expected to benefit from stepping up a couple of furlongs in trip and a further 3lb rise doesn't appear likely to stop her. Fine By Her benefited from switching back to hurdles when scoring at Fakenham in June and is expected to be competitive once again. Any market support for Bobbigrey on her handicap debut should be noted.
