14:45 Newcastle

Drakeholes and Tickets finished 1-2 in a 0-55 handicap here on Tuesday and are worthy of respect but JKR COBBLER (best priced at 11/4) should prove hard to beat under a 5lb penalty. The Iain Jardine trained five-year-old has a good record at the track with two course wins and three placed efforts and his 4 ¼ length victory last time was a career best on RPRs.

The handicapper has raised Jkr Cobbler up to a mark of 64 following that impressive victory but he instead runs here under a 5lb penalty meaning that he is 3lbs “well in” at the weights. He actually drops down in grade from a 0-60 handicap into this 0-58 handicap off top weight and he should prove hard to beat under regular rider Andrew Mullen.

15:35 Ludlow

The Henry Daly trained ROCKINASTORM (best priced at 4/1) ran an encouraging race when 3rd at Chepstow on his reappearance and that should put him spot on for this return to Ludlow. The seven-year-old had a record of 11351P2 last season over fences with a 5 ½ length victory over 3 miles here and a neck 2nd off a mark of 110 in April.

David Bass rode him once last season to finish 2nd here and he now takes over from Alice Stevens on board and following that reappearance run he should be involved in the finish off a mark of 113.

Rockinastorm - 0.5pts e/w

Shelias Well

This looks a competitive six runner 0-80 nursery but the one who looks overpriced is SHEILAS WELL (best priced at 11/2) in her hat-trick bid.

She was an impressive four length winner over this course and distance on her penultimate start off a mark of 57 before following up under a 6lb penalty at Musselburgh on her next start. Back on the AW where she is 1/1, Sheilas Well looks overpriced off a mark of 67 and can hopefully remain unbeaten over this mile trip.
